About the Role

This role involves applying engineering principles to support manufacturing processes, ensuring production efficiency, quality, and compliance through technical problem-solving and documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Apply engineering fundamentals to support manufacturing workflows
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation for production processes
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve production issues
  • Support process improvements to enhance manufacturing efficiency
  • Ensure compliance with quality and regulatory standards
  • Participate in root cause analysis for non-conformance events
  • Assist in the implementation of engineering change orders
  • Contribute to design for manufacturability initiatives
  • Support validation and qualification of manufacturing processes
  • Utilize data analysis to identify performance trends
  • Work with suppliers and vendors on process-related matters
  • Maintain accurate records of engineering activities
  • Support continuous improvement projects
  • Ensure adherence to safety protocols in manufacturing settings
  • Assist in the development of work instructions
  • Participate in new product introduction activities
  • Monitor key performance indicators for production lines
  • Support audits related to quality and compliance
  • Interface with design engineering to resolve manufacturability concerns
  • Apply lean manufacturing principles to reduce waste
  • Contribute to risk assessment activities
  • Support equipment setup and troubleshooting
  • Ensure proper documentation control practices
  • Participate in training activities for manufacturing personnel
  • Assist in cost reduction initiatives

Nice to Have

  • Experience in aerospace or defense manufacturing
  • Knowledge of PVA (Process Verification Activities)
  • Familiarity with ERP or MRP systems
  • Experience with statistical process control
  • Exposure to AS9100 or ISO9001 standards
  • Internship or co-op experience in manufacturing
  • Coursework in manufacturing engineering
  • Understanding of production planning
  • Experience with non-conformance tracking systems
