Responsibilities
- Apply engineering fundamentals to support manufacturing workflows
- Develop and maintain technical documentation for production processes
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve production issues
- Support process improvements to enhance manufacturing efficiency
- Ensure compliance with quality and regulatory standards
- Participate in root cause analysis for non-conformance events
- Assist in the implementation of engineering change orders
- Contribute to design for manufacturability initiatives
- Support validation and qualification of manufacturing processes
- Utilize data analysis to identify performance trends
- Work with suppliers and vendors on process-related matters
- Maintain accurate records of engineering activities
- Support continuous improvement projects
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols in manufacturing settings
- Assist in the development of work instructions
- Participate in new product introduction activities
- Monitor key performance indicators for production lines
- Support audits related to quality and compliance
- Interface with design engineering to resolve manufacturability concerns
- Apply lean manufacturing principles to reduce waste
- Contribute to risk assessment activities
- Support equipment setup and troubleshooting
- Ensure proper documentation control practices
- Participate in training activities for manufacturing personnel
- Assist in cost reduction initiatives
Nice to Have
- Experience in aerospace or defense manufacturing
- Knowledge of PVA (Process Verification Activities)
- Familiarity with ERP or MRP systems
- Experience with statistical process control
- Exposure to AS9100 or ISO9001 standards
- Internship or co-op experience in manufacturing
- Coursework in manufacturing engineering
- Understanding of production planning
