Location Details: Fully remote position requiring East Africa timezone overlap. Employment visa sponsorship currently unavailable in U.S. or U.K. Role Overview As Emergency Response Fundraising Senior Manager/Director, you'll lead comprehensive fundraising efforts across crisis response cycles. Your responsibilities include securing pre-positioned funds, activating donor outreach within 24-48 hours of emergencies, and managing reporting and renewals for governmental, philanthropic, corporate, and high-net-worth individual funders. We seek a professional with exceptional humanitarian funding landscape knowledge, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to communicate effectively under pressure. Priority Application Deadline: December 3rd, 2025 Reporting to: Partnerships Director Level: Senior Manager/Director Travel Requirement: 1-2 annual team retreats/field visits Key Responsibilities: Emergency Activation & Real-Time Fundraising - Coordinate rapid donor engagement during initial crisis hours - Prioritize targeted outreach based on crisis characteristics - Collaborate with program and communications teams - Develop/maintain comprehensive fundraising response protocols Pre-Positioned Funding & Pipeline Development - Create pre-positioned funding mechanisms - Secure organizational inclusion in rapid response partner lists - Develop flexible contingency funds - Analyze donor behaviors and market trends - Identify emerging opportunities Writing & Donor Communications - Craft high-quality fundraising materials - Translate complex insights into compelling narratives - Prepare senior leadership briefing materials Donor Stewardship and Conversion - Ensure timely, transparent grant reporting - Manage donor interactions through CRM systems - Expand donor relationships beyond emergency response Candidate Requirements: - Strong alignment with organizational values - English language proficiency - French/Portuguese language preference - 4+ years fundraising/partnerships experience - Exceptional written/verbal communication - Proven track record in humanitarian fundraising - Comfort navigating high-stakes relationships - Proactive problem-solving skills - Passion for organizational mission Compensation: Competitive, location-dependent base salary ranging from $77,500-$108,000 Equal Opportunity Employer committed to inclusive hiring practices and organizational safeguarding.
