Responsibilities
- Create, troubleshoot, and modify functional and parametric test programs for memory, logic, and microprocessor products using the Cohu DxV automated test system.
- Work closely with Operations, Quality, and Sales & Marketing teams to establish test approaches and support test development during new product introductions.
- Document and manage detailed test procedures, electrical specifications, and in-depth characterization reports.
- Serve as the primary responder for software and hardware problems during testing, partnering with production staff to rapidly detect and fix issues affecting output.
- Evaluate test results and yield metrics to detect opportunities for enhancement, then execute changes to improve test reliability, coverage, and efficiency, including performing hands-on failure analysis of defective units.

- Develop, debug, and update functional and parametric test programs for various product lines (memories, logic, and microprocessors) utilizing our Automated Test Equipment, specifically the Cohu DxV.
- Partner seamlessly with Operations, Quality, and Sales & Marketing to define test strategies and drive test development for new product development.
- Write and maintain comprehensive test procedures, electrical test specifications, and detailed characterization reports.
- Act as the first line of defense for hardware and software issues during the testing phase. Collaborate closely with the manufacturing floor to quickly identify, troubleshoot, and resolve test-related production bottlenecks.
- Analyze test data and yield reports to identify areas for improvement. Propose and implement solutions to enhance testing reliability, increase coverage, and drive down test times. Perform hands-on failure analysis (FA) on non-conforming parts.
