About the Role

Join a lean, high-impact team building data infrastructure that directly supports advancements in pharmacy care and patient outcomes. As a Data Engineer, you'll be responsible for architecting and maintaining cloud-native systems on AWS, ensuring data is reliable, accessible, and secure across critical healthcare applications.

What You’ll Do

  • Design and deploy scalable data architectures using AWS services including S3, Redshift, Aurora, Glue, Lambda, Step Functions, and MWAA-Airflow
  • Develop and maintain ETL pipelines to ingest, transform, and load complex healthcare data such as medical and pharmacy claims
  • Translate business requirements into efficient data models and robust technical implementations
  • Optimize data storage and query performance through partitioning, indexing, and caching strategies
  • Automate data workflows to improve reliability and reduce operational overhead
  • Monitor pipeline health and system performance, proactively addressing issues related to cost, latency, and scalability
  • Collaborate with product, analytics, and engineering teams to align data solutions with business goals
  • Enforce data governance, security protocols, and compliance standards for sensitive health information
  • Mentor team members and contribute to a culture of technical excellence and continuous learning

What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, informatics, information systems, or a related quantitative field
  • Over 10 years of hands-on experience in data engineering with a focus on AWS cloud platforms
  • Proven expertise in Python, SQL, stored procedures, and building cloud-native data pipelines
  • Direct experience working with healthcare data, particularly claims data (medical and pharmacy)
  • Strong understanding of data warehousing, data lakes, and transactional systems in AWS environments
  • Ability to lead technical initiatives and work independently in a fast-paced, evolving landscape
  • Commitment to data integrity, security, and regulatory compliance in healthcare contexts

Our Culture

We value empathy, diversity, and relentless pursuit of excellence. Our team thrives on transparency, collaboration, and a shared mission to improve healthcare through technology. You’ll work in an environment that supports growth, encourages innovation, and prioritizes meaningful impact.
