About the Role
The Data Engineer will design, develop, and maintain data infrastructure to support analytics and reporting. This role requires strong technical skills in data pipelines, ETL processes, and cloud platforms, along with collaboration across cross-functional teams to deliver reliable data solutions.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement data pipelines for efficient data ingestion and transformation
- Develop and maintain ETL workflows to ensure data accuracy and consistency
- Collaborate with analytics and product teams to understand data requirements
- Optimize data storage and query performance across data platforms
- Ensure data quality through monitoring, validation, and testing procedures
- Support the integration of new data sources into existing systems
- Work with cloud-based data services to deploy scalable solutions
- Document data models, schemas, and pipeline architectures
- Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues in production environments
- Contribute to data governance and security best practices
- Participate in code reviews and maintain high development standards
- Automate routine data operations and monitoring tasks
- Assist in the migration of on-premise data systems to cloud environments
- Implement data versioning and lineage tracking
- Collaborate on the design of data warehouses and data lakes
- Use version control systems for data pipeline code management
- Stay current with data engineering trends and cloud technologies
- Support compliance with data privacy regulations
- Work in an agile environment with iterative development cycles
- Communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
Nice to Have
- Master’s degree in a technical field
- Experience with real-time data streaming platforms like Kafka
