Centene is looking for a Data Engineer I to develop and operationalize data pipelines, making data available for reports and advanced analytics. You will design standardized data management procedures and large-scale data structures to support business intelligence. What You'll Do
- Develop and operationalize data pipelines for ingestion, transformation, validation, optimization, and orchestration.
- Design and implement standardized data management procedures for staging, preparation, provisioning, and destruction.
- Design, develop, implement, test, document, and operate large-scale, high-volume data structures for business intelligence analytics.
- Design, develop, and maintain real-time processing applications and data pipelines.
- Ensure the quality of technical solutions as data moves across environments.
- Provide insight into the changing data environment and suggest solutions.
- Develop, construct, test, and maintain architectures using programming languages and tools.
- Identify ways to improve data reliability, efficiency, and quality, using data to discover automatable tasks.
- Help maintain the integrity and security of company data.
What We're Looking For
- A Bachelor's degree in a quantitative or business field (e.g., statistics, mathematics, engineering, computer science) and 0 – 2 years of related experience.
- Or equivalent experience acquired through accomplishments of applicable knowledge, duties, scope, and skill.
- Or completion of a Centene-sponsored emerging talent program.
Nice to Have
- Experience with Data Analysis and Data Collection.
- Knowledge of Data Quality, Data Validation, QA testing tools (Quality Center, QTP, Load Runner), and Quality Assurance.
- Experience with Cloud Applications and Cloud Computing.
- Experience with Big Data, Data Manipulation, Data Mining, Power Tool Operation, Python, and Tableau.
- Experience building or operating highly available, distributed systems for extraction, ingestion, and processing of large data sets.
- Experience with Big Data, C#, Java, JavaScript, Programming Concepts, Programming Tools, Python, and SQL.
- Experience with Microsoft SQL Servers and SQL Server System.
