The Compliance Lead Analyst plays a critical role in safeguarding the organization’s integrity by leading transaction monitoring investigations and ensuring adherence to global regulatory standards. This position is responsible for identifying, analyzing, and reporting suspicious activities, enhancing detection methodologies, and supporting the continuous improvement of compliance frameworks. The analyst collaborates closely with cross-functional teams to refine risk detection models, improve operational efficiency, and implement scalable compliance solutions. With a strong focus on financial crime risk mitigation, this role requires a detail-oriented professional who can navigate complex regulatory landscapes, interpret behavioral patterns, and contribute to the strategic evolution of compliance systems in a high-growth, technology-driven environment.
Responsibilities
- Conduct in-depth investigations of alerts and manual referrals from transaction monitoring systems to detect potentially suspicious activity.
- Perform due diligence and KYC assessments using internal and external tools to evaluate transaction legitimacy and manage risk exposure.
- Prepare detailed case documentation and written summaries to support investigative conclusions and regulatory compliance.
- Determine appropriate case outcomes based on findings, aligning decisions with regulatory standards and internal policies.
- Detect emerging trends and patterns in financial behavior that may indicate new or evolving compliance risks.
- Work with cross-functional teams to refine compliance processes, optimize detection models, and implement best practices for scalability and efficiency.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on compliance tools and processes, supporting current operations and future enhancements.
- Evaluate compliance systems, rules, and detection models by providing actionable feedback to technical and machine learning teams.
Requirements
- 3 to 5 years of experience in financial services, crypto, or tech, with a focus on transaction monitoring or regulatory compliance investigations.
- Strong analytical, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Experience using Google apps for productivity and collaboration.
- Adaptability to thrive in a rapidly evolving, high-growth environment.
Nice to Have
- Experience in enhanced due diligence and transaction monitoring, including drafting and filing SARs.
- Background in project management, data analysis, or managing third-party vendor relationships.
- Familiarity with business intelligence platforms such as Looker, Tableau, or PowerBI, and tools like JIRA, Hummingbird, and Salesforce Service Cloud.
- Collaboration experience with internal and external outsourced business partners.
- Professional certification in anti-money laundering or fraud prevention, such as CAMS, CFCS, or CFE.

Compensation
Target annual base salary range: $99,365 - $116,900 USD. Equity eligibility. Bonus eligibility

Hybrid — remote-first with required in-person participation; team and company offsites occur multiple times per year and attendance is expected
