Responsibilities
- Plan and coordinate on-site training sessions across a designated region by independently reaching out to clients, scheduling visits, arranging travel, and responding to inquiries.
- Collaborate with Clinical Applications Specialists in neighboring regions to manage joint training for clients near regional boundaries.
- Demonstrate understanding of the ophthalmic diagnostic sector and its clinical workflows.
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients on administrative, technical, and clinical matters related to equipment and software.
- Seek support from internal teams when necessary to resolve customer issues.
- Maintain regular communication with Regional Sales Managers and Field Service Engineers to address training effectiveness and customer feedback.
- Start building collaborative relationships with sales and service teams to improve overall client support.
- Begin identifying potential sales opportunities and learn how to communicate them effectively to sales teams.
- Complete and submit required documentation accurately and on time, including expense reports and product training records.
- Stay current with all relevant product knowledge for the company’s portfolio.
- Follow established guidelines outlined in the CAS Responsibility document.
- Assist with equipment setup and demonstrations at industry events, conventions, or educational seminars as needed.
- Comply with current Good Manufacturing Practices and ISO 9001 standards and procedures.
- Follow all applicable federal and state employment regulations.
Requirements
- 3 to 5 years of professional experience in an ophthalmology clinic, diagnostic ophthalmic industry, or a related field.
- Familiarity with visual field testing, lensometry, refractometry, biometry, and/or fundus photography.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage professionally during difficult customer interactions.
- Ability to apply standard methods and protocols to evaluate data or situations and reach clear conclusions.
- Proficiency in basic computer operations and software, particularly Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Willingness to travel overnight and work on weekends when required.
- Highly organized with the ability to operate independently with minimal oversight.
- Must hold a valid driver’s license.

- Familiarity with laser scanning technology is beneficial but not required.
