AmeriHealth Caritas is hiring a Business Insights Analyst

Role Overview

This position serves as a key contributor within the Business Insights team, reporting to the Director of Business Insights. The analyst partners with operational leaders to assess the financial and utilization implications of new healthcare initiatives. The role involves end-to-end support of value optimization projects, from initial concept evaluation through post-implementation monitoring.

Key Responsibilities

  • Extract and analyze claims and operational data to quantify potential savings and identify opportunities tied to new initiative concepts
  • Conduct ROI assessments by evaluating projected impact using statistical methods and real-world healthcare datasets
  • Develop clear, evidence-based business cases summarizing analytical findings in alignment with audit standards
  • Advise on initiative prioritization and present insights to cross-functional leadership teams
  • Design and maintain performance tracking systems for active programs, including savings measurement and operational KPI reporting
  • Respond to ad hoc analytical requests in support of strategic discussions and stakeholder reviews

Qualifications

Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Analytics, Research, or a related discipline. A minimum of eight years of professional experience in the healthcare sector is required, with at least five years dedicated to healthcare analytics. Proficiency in SQL, database systems, Python, SAS, and statistical modeling is essential. The ideal candidate can transform complex data outputs into meaningful, actionable business insights.

A Master’s degree or higher is preferred but not required.

Work Environment

This role is fully remote, supporting team members across the Eastern and Central time zones. Flexible scheduling accommodates collaboration in a distributed environment.
