The Azure Cloud Solution Architect plays a key role in guiding clients through their cloud journey by designing scalable, secure, and efficient solutions on Microsoft Azure. Working closely with stakeholders, you'll assess business needs and translate them into robust cloud architectures using IaaS, PaaS, and related Azure services.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage directly with clients to understand requirements and design customized cloud solutions aligned with their goals
- Develop comprehensive high- and low-level design documentation based on discovery sessions
- Lead technical workshops to explore cloud strategies, migration paths, and optimization opportunities
- Support service delivery by acting as a technical escalation point for complex infrastructure challenges
- Advise on cost-effective resource usage and long-term cloud sustainability
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth implementation and knowledge transfer
Required Expertise
- Proven experience in Azure architecture, including infrastructure (IaaS) and platform (PaaS) services
- Working knowledge of Azure Active Directory, networking, and identity integration
- Proficiency in automation tools such as PowerShell and Azure CLI
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code using ARM templates or Terraform
- Understanding of high availability, disaster recovery, and resilient system design
- Strong communication and documentation skills, with the ability to present technical concepts clearly
- Demonstrated project leadership, from scoping through delivery, with attention to risk and foresight
- Ability to build trust and influence decision-making at all organizational levels
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with container technologies such as Kubernetes or Docker
- Experience with Azure DevOps for CI/CD pipelines
- Background in Windows Server and Active Directory environments
Work Environment
This is a hybrid role with flexibility in working arrangements.
