About the Role

The selected candidate will contribute to data science initiatives by building computational tools, analyzing scientific data, and supporting research teams in extracting insights from large-scale experiments and simulations.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement data analysis algorithms and workflows
  • Collaborate with domain scientists to interpret complex datasets
  • Design and maintain scalable computational pipelines
  • Apply machine learning techniques to scientific problems
  • Optimize code for high-performance computing environments
  • Contribute to the development of data management strategies
  • Support the integration of diverse data sources
  • Document methods and results for reproducibility
  • Participate in team meetings and technical discussions
  • Present findings to internal research groups
  • Stay current with advancements in computational methods
  • Assist in writing technical reports and publications
  • Troubleshoot computational issues in data processing
  • Ensure data integrity and quality control
  • Work with large-scale simulation and experimental data

Nice to Have

  • Master's degree in a computational or scientific discipline
  • Experience applying data science in physical sciences
  • Proficiency with parallel computing frameworks
  • Prior work with scientific data standards and formats
  • Demonstrated ability to publish research findings
  • Involvement in open-source software projects
  • Knowledge of cloud computing platforms
  • Experience with workflow management systems
  • Familiarity with reproducible research practices
  • Record of contributing to collaborative technical projects

Compensation
