About the Role

Join a forward-thinking team focused on redefining audio experiences through advanced wearable technology. As an Android Developer based in Shenzhen, you'll play a central role in integrating Bragi's firmware and mobile middleware, developing high-performance Android applications and libraries, and ensuring seamless collaboration between local partners and European R&D teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze technical requirements from both Bragi and SoC vendors to align capabilities and identify integration gaps
  • Integrate and validate Bragi firmware with mobile middleware on Android platforms
  • Adapt and extend the Mobile SDK to align with firmware interfaces and SoC-level features
  • Design and implement robust Android applications and reusable libraries in Java and Kotlin
  • Collaborate with Product, Design, and QA teams to define and deliver new features
  • Optimize performance, debug issues, and refactor code for maintainability and testability
  • Support ODMs and internal test engineers as part of the certification program
  • Improve communication workflows between China and Europe, including documentation and tooling
  • Evaluate and adopt emerging technologies to improve development speed and reliability

What You Bring

  • At least 3 years of hands-on Android development experience
  • Native Mandarin fluency with strong English proficiency for technical collaboration
  • Deep understanding of Java and Kotlin, including modern architectural patterns
  • Proven experience implementing Bluetooth and custom Bluetooth protocols without third-party dependencies
  • Familiarity with the full mobile development lifecycle, from concept to deployment
  • Ability to break down complex features and translate business needs into technical solutions

Nice-to-Have Experience

  • Work with chipsets such as JieLi, WuQi, Actions, Bluetrum, BES, Qualcomm, or Airoha
  • CI/CD pipelines using GitLab for mobile projects
  • Writing unit tests and automation frameworks
  • Background in wearables or IoT devices
  • Knowledge of reactive programming models
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a drive for continuous improvement
