Role Overview
As an Analyst, you will manage the end-to-end preservation of REO properties resulting from reverse mortgage foreclosures. Your primary responsibility is to ensure each property is secured, maintained, and compliant with company and legal standards before it transitions to sale.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the property preservation lifecycle for reverse mortgage REO assets, adhering to established procedures and regulatory requirements.
- Arrange and monitor property inspections to detect safety risks and maintenance needs.
- Secure vacant homes to prevent trespassing, vandalism, and deterioration.
- Coordinate clean-out services and debris removal to prepare properties for market.
- Manage ongoing lawn care, landscaping, and exterior upkeep to maintain curb appeal and avoid municipal violations.
- Implement winterization measures to protect properties during colder months.
- Ensure timely execution of life safety tasks such as boarding up, utility shut-offs, and emergency repairs.
- Document and track all preservation activities across assigned properties.
- Work closely with asset managers and internal departments to support smooth handoffs when properties are ready for listing.
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date records for all preservation efforts and property statuses.
Qualifications
- 1–3 years of experience in property preservation, REO management, or a related area.
- Familiarity with reverse mortgage foreclosure processes and timelines.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to coordinate effectively across vendors, contractors, and internal teams.
- Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to timely execution.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment.
Technical Tools
Experience with PPW and Resnet platforms is required for daily operations.
