Gjensidige is hiring an AI/ML Engineer

Gjensidige is looking for an AI/ML Engineer to help create the best customer experiences for our private customers in Norway and Denmark. You will join the AI & Machine Learning area within the Private division, contributing to a dedicated competence environment focused on developing and managing impactful AI solutions.

What You'll Do

  • Develop and manage AI solutions delivered across Norway and Denmark for customers in the private market.
  • Play a key role in developing models, bots, and agents in customer-facing processes.

What We're Looking For

  • Education in data science, computer engineering, or computer science with a degree from a university or college.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience with software development or machine learning.
  • Solid experience with recent versions of Python.
  • Ability and interest in quickly learning new technology and sharing knowledge with others.
  • Thrive with close collaboration with developers and business to realize the best solutions.
  • Communicate well in Norwegian and English, both orally and in writing.

Nice to Have

  • Practical experience with machine learning.
  • Experience with SQL, databases, or DBT.
  • Interest in solution design, clean code, and design patterns.
  • Interest and experience with code assistants like Github Copilot.
  • Experience with testing practices (e.g., pytest, contract testing) and measuring quality for LLM responses (eval sets, A/B tests).
  • Experience with CI/CD.
  • Experience from the insurance industry.

Technical Stack

  • MS Azure, OpenAI, Databricks, Github
  • Python and relevant libraries for generative AI and agents (e.g., MLFlow, FastAPI, LangChain, LangGraph)
  • Low-code AI platforms

Team & Environment

You will work in a competence environment on artificial intelligence and machine learning, collaborating closely with developers and business stakeholders.
