Design and implement intelligent systems that solve real-world challenges in customer experience and network operations. This role centers on developing AI and machine learning models that power automation, insight generation, and intelligent agent behavior, using modern techniques such as transformer architectures, reinforcement learning, and model distillation.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and refine machine learning models that enhance system efficiency, accuracy, and automation capabilities.
- Work across the full lifecycle of AI development—from data analysis and model training to validation and deployment.
- Optimize architectures for natural language understanding and perception tasks, ensuring models are efficient and production-ready.
- Train and fine-tune both Large and Small Language Models for specialized domains and use cases.
- Collaborate with engineering and product teams to integrate AI agents into scalable, responsible applications.
- Stay engaged with the latest research and advancements in AI to inform technical direction and innovation.
- Help shape best practices for model development, evaluation, and deployment across the team.
Qualifications
Applicants should hold a Bachelor’s degree in computer science, mathematics, statistics, or a related field with at least six years of software engineering experience, or a Master’s degree with three or more years of relevant experience.
Required expertise includes proficiency in Python, Java, or C++, hands-on experience with machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch, and familiarity with data processing tools used throughout the AI lifecycle. Experience in NLP, generative AI, or LLM development is essential. Candidates must also demonstrate success working in agile, cross-functional environments and communicating technical concepts clearly.
Preferred qualifications include work with Small Language Models, knowledge of network automation and anomaly detection, experience with AI-driven DevOps and model observability, and exposure to edge computing. Familiarity with cloud AI platforms like AWS SageMaker, Google Cloud AI Platform, or Azure ML is a strong plus.
Work Environment
This is a hybrid role available in select U.S. and Canadian locations, offering flexibility in work arrangements. Exempt employees benefit from a flexible paid time off policy, while non-exempt staff receive accrued vacation and additional wellness days. The organization supports continuous growth through learning opportunities, volunteer time, and a culture rooted in inclusion, innovation, and experimentation.
Compensation & Benefits
The starting salary range is $199,700 to $292,800 depending on location, with additional compensation through annual bonuses (for non-sales roles) or performance-based incentives (for sales roles). Eligible employees receive grants of restricted stock units, vesting over time.
Comprehensive benefits include medical, dental, and vision coverage; 401(k) with company match; life and disability insurance; paid parental leave; and generous time off policies, including holidays, personal wellness days, and birthday leave. Sick time is provided annually with carryover allowance, and additional time is available for family emergencies.
