HireHawk is hiring an AI Engineer - APIs & Automation to design and implement AI-powered solutions that enhance operational efficiency. In this remote role, you will focus on API integrations, workflow automation, and deploying AI tools to streamline critical business processes.
What You'll Do
- Design and implement AI-driven solutions to automate internal workflows
- Integrate AI models like LLMs and NLP tools into business processes
- Develop custom AI applications to improve productivity and decision-making
- Build and maintain API integrations between internal systems and third-party platforms
- Connect AI services (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google AI, etc.) with CRM, marketing, and operational tools
- Ensure secure and scalable API architecture
- Monitor API performance and optimize reliability
- Identify repetitive processes and design automation solutions
- Implement workflow automation using tools such as Zapier, Make, n8n, or custom scripts
- Improve data flow between systems to reduce manual work
- Collaborate with operations and leadership to prioritize automation opportunities
- Ensure secure handling of data across AI systems and integrations
- Maintain documentation for APIs and automation processes
- Follow best practices for version control, testing, and deployment
What We're Looking For
- 3+ years of experience in software engineering, AI engineering, or automation development
- Strong experience working with APIs (REST, GraphQL)
- Experience integrating AI/ML models into applications
- Proficiency in Python, JavaScript, or similar programming languages
- Experience with automation platforms (Zapier, Make, n8n, etc.)
- Understanding of cloud environments (AWS, GCP, Azure)
- Strong problem-solving and system design skills
Nice to Have
- Experience building AI agents or chatbot systems
- Familiarity with prompt engineering and LLM optimization
- Experience with data pipelines and ETL processes
- Knowledge of security best practices in API design
