Responsibilities
- Design manufacturing methods and associated equipment for new electrical parts across SMT, final assembly, and end-of-line testing.
- Lead cost analysis for new or revised product quotations.
- Analyze workforce usage, space needs, and material movement, while leading layout improvements for peak efficiency.
- Define equipment requirements and specifications in coordination with external integration partners.
- Create requests for quotation, assess vendor responses, and recommend third-party integrators and service providers.
- Develop technical documentation and contribute to customer-facing engineering reviews.
- Collaborate with Quality and Plant teams to establish PFMEAs, work instructions, and control plans.
- Provide on-site support during new program start-ups when necessary.
- Apply MOST/MTM time study methods to enhance production line design.
- Manage equipment projects from initial planning through installation.
- Maintain and update production line capacity data for SMT and backend operations.
