Micron Technology was looking for a Yield Analysis Lead (Remote support) - Myworkdayjobs.com

As the Yield Analysis Lead, you will play a central role in identifying and resolving yield-limiting factors within semiconductor manufacturing processes. Leveraging deep knowledge of process flows and data analysis techniques, you will lead investigations into yield excursions, pinpoint root causes, and deliver actionable insights that directly influence production outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead technical training and development initiatives for team members, providing mentorship and fostering professional growth.
  • Collaborate with both on-site and remote teams to ensure seamless handoffs and post-analysis follow-up.
  • Monitor probe yield metrics, detect deviations from targets, and provide clear explanations for performance gaps.
  • Generate detailed yield pareto analyses using statistical methods to prioritize corrective actions.
  • Apply data mining and advanced analytics—using tools such as JMP and Python—to uncover patterns and drive sustainable improvements.
  • Work closely with failure analysis teams to align electrical test results, physical defects, and process data into coherent findings.
  • Partner with process engineering and monitoring groups to implement, track, and standardize yield recovery measures across modules.

Qualifications

A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, or equivalent experience is required. Candidates must have at least five years of experience in yield analysis within high-volume DRAM manufacturing, with strong understanding of semiconductor device physics, transistor behavior, and CMOS fundamentals. Proficiency in data analysis software such as JMP or Python is essential.

A Master’s degree in a technical field is preferred, along with seven or more years of focused yield analysis experience, particularly in module ownership roles within high-volume environments.

Work Environment

This position operates in a hybrid model, centered on supporting a new fabrication facility in Boise, ID. While some presence may be required on-site, remote collaboration with distributed teams is fully supported. You will work at the forefront of a major industry expansion, contributing to long-term advancements in semiconductor technology.

Impact & Growth

You will have direct responsibility for yield performance, shaping continuous improvement strategies across the production line. This role offers the chance to influence large-scale manufacturing outcomes within a globally invested technology initiative, while working in a culture defined by innovation, operational rigor, and inclusive collaboration.
