Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise a high-performing team of work-winning specialists, ensuring ownership of project execution and results.
  • Recruit, develop, and retain skilled professionals through effective hiring, onboarding, and succession planning to support a culture of excellence.
  • Motivate and guide team members to meet aggressive performance targets while fostering inclusivity, accountability, and creative problem-solving.
  • Develop and manage a long-term portfolio of strategically significant business opportunities.
  • Track financial performance, return on investment, win rates, and other key indicators to identify opportunities for program enhancement.
  • Lead the prioritization of major, mid-tier, and smaller bids, allocating resources efficiently and resolving obstacles proactively.
  • Enforce consistent use of CRM systems (Salesforce) to support executive oversight and performance tracking.
  • For high-priority pursuits, lead formal bid reviews, conduct planning sessions, and critically assess client value propositions.
  • Use industry expertise and analytical insights to guide go/no-go decisions, maximizing win probability and protecting investment returns.
  • Ensure bid quality and compliance by implementing standardized best practices, tools, and governance frameworks.
  • Identify and escalate significant risks promptly to enable timely leadership intervention and preserve competitive positioning.
  • Establish strong partnerships with senior business executives to align pursuit strategies with organizational goals.
  • Challenge and influence senior stakeholders, account leads, and capture leads to adopt proven work-winning methodologies.
  • Produce clear, data-backed reports that guide strategic planning and business development decisions.
  • Lead cross-departmental initiatives that support growth and transformation in pursuit excellence.
  • Implement standardized processes, tools, and training across capture and proposal teams to improve consistency and effectiveness.
  • Maintain high-quality bid materials, strategic playbooks, and reusable content, ensuring all major proposals are centered on client outcomes.
  • Promote innovation in bidding practices by analyzing win/loss data and converting insights into measurable process improvements.
