Responsibilities
- Ensure continuous operational availability, performance, and security of Windows infrastructure in both on-premises and cloud environments
- Participate in a rotating on-call schedule to support service continuity according to defined service level agreements
- Perform advanced administration of Windows Server versions 2016, 2019, and 2022, including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy management
- Manage system patching, updates, security hardening, and regulatory compliance requirements
- Operate and maintain core infrastructure services such as file sharing, DFS, print services, Remote Desktop Services, IIS, and public key infrastructure for certificates
- Administer virtualization platforms including VMware vSphere/ESXi/vCenter or Microsoft Hyper-V, covering clusters, resource allocation, and snapshot management
- Implement and test backup and disaster recovery solutions using tools like Veeam, ensuring data integrity and system recoverability
- Deploy monitoring solutions with probes, alerts, and dashboards to maintain system observability
- Automate routine administrative tasks, deployments, reporting, and security configurations using scripting and automation tools
- Enforce operational security measures including antivirus, endpoint detection and response, multi-factor authentication, conditional access policies, vulnerability remediation, and privileged access management
- Support cloud integration and Microsoft 365 services such as Entra ID (formerly Azure AD), user licensing, Exchange Online, and Intune/Endpoint Manager based on client requirements
- Provide L2 and L3 technical support including incident resolution, deep troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and implementation of corrective actions
- Follow structured change management processes including planning, implementation, rollback procedures, and documentation in alignment with ITIL practices
- Maintain comprehensive documentation including runbooks, operational procedures, configuration standards, CMDB entries, and service dependency maps
- Collaborate with network, security, and DevOps teams to ensure integrated system performance and alignment with organizational goals
- Respond to incidents outside business hours, manage escalations, communicate with clients, and uphold SLA commitments
