About the Role
The engineer will be responsible for setting up tracking frameworks, ensuring data accuracy, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver actionable insights from web data.
Responsibilities
- Develop and manage tracking implementations across websites and applications
- Configure and maintain analytics tools such as Google Analytics and Adobe Analytics
- Ensure compliance with privacy regulations including GDPR and CCPA
- Collaborate with developers to integrate data collection scripts
- Troubleshoot data discrepancies and resolve tracking issues
- Create detailed technical documentation for tagging standards
- Support A/B testing and conversion rate optimization initiatives
- Monitor data quality and implement validation processes
- Work with product and marketing teams to define KPIs
- Design and deploy event-based tracking for user interactions
- Maintain data layer consistency across platforms
- Optimize tag management systems like Google Tag Manager
- Implement server-side tracking solutions when necessary
- Assist in the migration of analytics platforms or tools
- Ensure cross-browser and cross-device tracking reliability
- Analyze user behavior trends from collected data
- Support dashboard development for reporting purposes
- Stay current with evolving web technologies and tracking methods
- Participate in agile development cycles
- Conduct audits of existing tracking infrastructure
Nice to Have
- Certification in Google Analytics or Adobe Analytics
- Experience with customer data platforms (CDPs)
- Knowledge of data warehousing concepts
- Background in cybersecurity or data protection
- Exposure to machine learning applications in analytics
