Responsibilities
- Supervise and assist in daily warehouse and shipping areas
- Shipping customer orders
- Satisfying internal shipping requirements
- Ensuring accuracy of shipments and supporting documentation
- Receiving incoming material and routing to appropriate area or personnel
- Receiving in finished goods
- Ensuring inventory transactions are accurately logged
- Overseeing cycle counts and reconciliation activities
- Follow all safety, environmental rules and regulations applicable to the position
- Adhere to and enforce Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and HACCP requirements
- Monitor and ensure compliance with all safety, food safety, environmental, GMP rules, regulations and policies
- Delegating and assigning tasks and targets and evaluating the working of staff
- Provide leadership by establishing clear expectations and demonstrating high standards of work practices and safety conscious behavior
- Evaluate performance and administer appropriate guidance to employees
- Utilize and demonstrate (for training) use of electronic inventory scanning equipment
- Monitor loading and receiving operations
- Receive packaged products and inbound supplies
- Cross-train with Operations and provide backup as a Production Supervisor when needed
- Conducts weekly tool box training
- Monitor inventory regularly
- Conduct monthly inventory reconciliation
- Complete all associated paperwork/reports correctly to perform this position
- Operate forklift and provide forklift operation training to employees
- Act as fill in for the job of Superintendent in the area in which they work in the case of an absence
- Attend daily production/quality meetings
