Responsibilities
- Deliver text-based virtual care to adult patients across the United States without real-time interaction.
- Assess patient urgency and apply emergency medicine expertise to evaluate diverse medical conditions with varying levels of complexity and uncertainty.
- Order, review, and interpret diagnostic tests including laboratory studies and imaging, and manage referrals to specialists through electronic consultations.
- Direct patients to appropriate in-person medical services when necessary, relying on operational teams for scheduling logistics.
- Support patients in understanding and accessing follow-up care steps beyond the initial issue.
- Maintain responsibility for patient care throughout the clinical decision pathway.
- Provide input to refine clinical processes and digital tools used in patient care delivery.
Requirements
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree.
- Board certification or eligibility in Emergency Medicine.
- Holds active, unrestricted medical licenses covering at least 40% of the U.S. population.
- Must be licensed in multiple states, with priority given to California, Texas, Florida, and New York.
- Demonstrated ability to manage diagnostic uncertainty and synthesize clinical information across general medicine.
- Excellent written communication skills with a focus on collaboration and patient-centered care.
- Commitment to work a minimum of 12 hours weekly.
- Willingness to complete at least one weekend shift each month.

- Openness to using digital health technologies and adapting to new clinical workflows; prior telehealth experience is beneficial but not required.
