The WFS Group was looking for a Video Editor

This role is at the intersection of creativity and performance. As a Video Editor, you’ll craft compelling content tailored to the unique behaviors of Instagram Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and long-form YouTube. Your edits won’t just look good—they’ll be engineered to perform, using pacing, hooks, captions, and visual rhythm to maximize watch time and shareability.

What You’ll Do

  • Produce and refine short-form videos that align with current platform trends and audience preferences
  • Edit long-form YouTube content with a focus on narrative flow and sustained engagement
  • Break down long videos into standalone clips optimized for short-form platforms
  • Incorporate motion graphics, b-roll, sound design, and pattern interrupts to boost retention
  • Use captions, jump cuts, and timing techniques that capture attention in the first seconds
  • Collaborate with marketing and leadership teams to shape content strategy
  • Stay ahead of algorithm changes, emerging formats, and viral trends across platforms
  • Contribute creative ideas for hooks, angles, and content variations
  • Organize assets, manage workflows, and adapt quickly based on analytics

What We’re Looking For

  • Deep familiarity with how content spreads on Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube
  • Clear understanding of what drives virality versus simple clarity in editing
  • Proficiency in Adobe Suite, particularly Premiere Pro
  • Experience turning performance data into creative decisions
  • A mindset focused on growth metrics—reach, retention, engagement
  • Ownership over creative direction and accountability for results
  • Discomfort with excuses like 'the algorithm is random'—you believe performance can be influenced
