About the Role
This role is responsible for applying data science techniques to enhance pharmacovigilance and risk management processes, driving insights from complex datasets to improve patient safety and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Develop and deploy machine learning models to identify safety signals in large-scale healthcare data
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business questions into analytical solutions
- Design and execute data pipelines for ingestion, transformation, and analysis of structured and unstructured data
- Apply statistical methods to assess drug safety profiles and support regulatory requirements
- Utilize programming languages such as Python or R for data analysis and automation
- Create visualizations and dashboards to communicate findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Ensure data quality and integrity across analytical workflows
- Stay current with advancements in data science, artificial intelligence, and healthcare analytics
- Support validation of analytical tools and models in compliance with regulatory standards
- Contribute to documentation and knowledge sharing within the data science community
- Optimize existing analytical processes for scalability and performance
- Participate in the design of experiments and observational studies for safety evaluation
- Work with large real-world datasets including electronic health records and claims data
- Apply natural language processing techniques to extract insights from clinical text
- Support the integration of external data sources into internal analytics platforms
- Collaborate with IT and data engineering teams on data architecture and governance
- Present analytical results to senior stakeholders with clear, actionable recommendations
- Identify opportunities for automation in data processing and reporting
- Maintain awareness of industry trends in pharmacovigilance and data science
- Ensure adherence to data privacy and security policies
- Mentor junior analysts and contribute to team development
