UN/COMMON is seeking a Freelance UX/UI Designer to create conversion-driven digital experiences for direct-to-consumer (DTC) e-commerce brands. The designer will work closely with strategists, senior designers, and developers to translate business goals and customer insights into high-quality user experiences.
Responsibilities
- Translate creative briefs into functional design concepts with feedback and direction from ecomm strategists and senior designers.
- Build, expand, and maintain comprehensive Figma design systems and component libraries.
- Create high-fidelity prototypes and motion explorations to bring concepts to life
- Prepare clean, developer-ready files and documentation to support seamless handoff
- Accurately scope tasks and complete assignments on-time and within budget
- Clearly articulate design decisions to internal teams and clients, grounding your rationale in user and business goals
Requirements
- 2+ years experience of UX/UI design, preferably in-house at DTC brands and/or agencies.
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite and Figma
- Experience contributing to or maintaining design systems within Figma
- Strong communication skills and ability to present work confidently and explain the strategic “why” behind design decisions
- Comfortable working in a remote, asynchronous environment with structured check-ins and mentorship to support your workflow.
