Twitch is hiring an UX Designer

The UX Designer will join the Monetization UX team, focusing on creating long-term revenue solutions for creators, viewers, and the platform. This role includes leading end-to-end product design, working with cross-functional partners, and mentoring junior designers while reporting to the Director of Design.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with product managers, engineers, and other designers in a cross-functional development environment.
  • Engage directly with streamers, viewers, and business stakeholders to understand how they use platform services and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Develop creative solutions that support and enhance the monetization paths available to streamers on the platform.
  • Support and advance the internal design community by applying and refining established design patterns and methodologies.
  • Integrate qualitative insights and quantitative data to form user-centered design hypotheses and iterate on solutions.
  • Share and review design work through regular feedback sessions and formal design reviews with peers and stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Minimum of three years of hands-on UX design experience, particularly in content discovery or engagement interfaces.
  • Proven ability in interaction design and visual execution, including prototyping for mobile platforms.
  • Experience working effectively with designers, researchers, product managers, and engineering teams.
  • Strong aesthetic judgment and confidence in making design decisions.
  • Demonstrated user empathy and understanding of end-user needs and behaviors.
  • Proficiency with Figma for design and prototyping workflows.
  • Background in e-commerce or monetization product design.

Nice to Have

  • Experience designing consumer-facing software products.
  • Familiarity with AI-powered design or research tools.
  • Hands-on experience developing and conducting customer research interviews.
  • Understanding of design system principles and practices.
  • Formal academic training in Design, Interaction Design, UX, or Human-Computer Interaction (HCI).

Compensation

Base salary range: $117,800 - $184,000 USD annually depending on location. Includes Restricted Stock Units (RSUs) and sign-on payments as part of the Amazon compensation package.

Work Arrangement

Hybrid work model based in San Francisco, CA; Seattle, WA; Irvine, CA; or New York City, NY. Employees work from company headquarters or designated hub locations.
