Twitch is hiring an UX Designer

The UX Designer will join the Monetization UX team to lead design initiatives that support creators’ and viewers’ financial engagement on the platform. This role involves end-to-end product development, close collaboration with product, engineering, and research teams, and a strong commitment to user-centered design and community principles.

Responsibilities

  • Work alongside product managers, engineers, and other designers in a cross-functional development environment.
  • Engage directly with streamers, viewers, and business stakeholders to understand how they use the platform and what they aim to achieve.
  • Develop innovative solutions to support long-term monetization for streamers on the platform.
  • Support and enhance the internal design community by refining and applying established design patterns.
  • Use both qualitative insights and quantitative data to form hypotheses about user behavior and inform design decisions.
  • Share and refine design work through participation in reviews and feedback loops.

Requirements

  • Minimum of three years of UX design experience, particularly in content discovery or engagement contexts.
  • Proven skills in interaction and visual design, including prototyping for mobile platforms.
  • Experience working effectively with designers, researchers, product managers, and engineers.
  • Strong aesthetic judgment and confidence in making design decisions.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand and design for user needs and behaviors.
  • Proficiency with Figma.
  • Background in e-commerce or monetization design.

Nice to Have

  • Experience designing consumer-facing software products.
  • Familiarity with AI-powered design or development tools.
  • Hands-on experience conducting customer research and gathering user feedback.
  • Understanding of design systems and their role in scalable product design.
  • Formal academic training in Design, Interaction Design, UX, or Human-Computer Interaction (HCI).

Compensation

Base salary varies by location: $117,800–$160,000 in Seattle and Irvine, $135,500–$184,000 in San Francisco, and $129,600–$176,000 in New York. Final offer depends on experience, qualifications, and location. Compensation package includes restricted stock units (RSUs) and sign-on payments as part of Amazon's total rewards.

Work Arrangement

Hybrid work model requiring presence at Twitch headquarters or designated hub locations in San Francisco, CA; Seattle, WA; Irvine, CA; or New York City, NY.

Team

Part of the Monetization UX team focused on creator and viewer revenue experiences, collaborating with product, engineering, and data teams. Reports to the Director of Design.
