The League was looking for an User Acquisition Manager / Performance Growth Marketer (REMOTE)

About the Role

Lead performance marketing and customer growth for a fast-moving platform focused on meaningful user engagement. As the primary driver of acquisition strategy, you'll shape how new users discover and join the network, while building systems that improve long-term retention and lifetime value.

What You’ll Own

  • Design and manage performance campaigns across paid social, search, and emerging digital channels to meet scalable growth goals
  • Optimize every stage of the acquisition funnel—from first touch to conversion—using data to improve efficiency and lower CAC
  • Analyze customer cohorts and behavioral patterns to define ideal user profiles and refine targeting strategies
  • Develop local and hyper-local acquisition tactics that drive engagement within specific geographic regions
  • Lead retention strategy, identifying key churn signals and building programs that keep users active and engaged
  • Manage agency partners and external vendors, ensuring alignment with brand goals and performance benchmarks
  • Set up clear measurement frameworks to track campaign ROI and report weekly on spend, performance, and channel effectiveness
  • Collaborate with product, analytics, and leadership teams to align marketing strategy with business objectives
  • Maintain a consistent brand voice across all customer-facing channels, from ads to app store content
  • Test and scale new acquisition channels with a disciplined, results-first approach

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven success in managing large-scale paid acquisition campaigns with measurable impact on growth
  • Strong analytical skills—comfortable diving into data to uncover insights about user behavior and campaign performance
  • Experience managing marketing budgets across multiple channels while hitting efficiency targets
  • Deep understanding of retention metrics and experience building programs that improve user longevity
  • Skill in translating data into clear strategies and actionable plans
  • Ability to lead external teams and agencies with clear direction and performance expectations
  • Experience with SEO, ASO, SEM, PR, and earned media is a strong plus
