As an Account Analyst, you will support the underwriting team by collecting and inputting critical data for new and renewal business submissions. Your work will feed into pricing models and risk assessments, helping shape informed underwriting decisions. You'll analyze exposure details, loss history, and coverage requirements, ensuring accuracy and completeness throughout the policy lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Input and manage data for commercial accounts, supporting underwriting evaluations and pricing decisions
- Conduct initial reviews of risk exposure, claims history, and policy coverage to assist underwriters
- Manage end-to-end processing for moderate to complex accounts, from clearance to policy issuance
- Process rating requests, policy audits, endorsements, and cancellations with precision and timeliness
- Follow established procedures to maintain compliance, quality control, and documentation standards
- Respond to internal and external service requests, supporting underwriters and brokers with clear, timely communication
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve workflow efficiency and service delivery
Qualifications
Applicants should have completed post-secondary education or have at least two years of experience in insurance operations. Strong skills in written and verbal communication, along with demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, are essential. You must be detail-oriented, capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting, and committed to maintaining high standards of accuracy.
Preference will be given to candidates with experience in property and casualty or specialty insurance lines. Familiarity with insurance terminology and a commitment to professional development—such as pursuing a CIP designation—are considered strong assets.
