Role SummaryWe are looking for a Training Remotability Subject Matter Expert to provide specialized instructional and engineering support for remote operations at the Savannah River Site in Aiken, South Carolina. This position focuses on the development, delivery, and evaluation of training programs related to telerobotic manipulator (TRM) systems and canyon-based nuclear operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver instruction using established training methodologies aligned with operational requirements
- Review and interpret technical and administrative documentation to extract and transform content into structured training materials
- Serve as a technical authority on remote handling systems and remotability practices
- Conduct training for TRM operations specific to Melt Cell tasks, including pour spout maintenance, sampling, and insert handling
- Perform mechanical handling assessments in support of canyon process simplification initiatives
Qualifications
Candidates must demonstrate proven expertise in training development for remote operations within complex technical environments. Experience translating engineering or procedural documentation into effective instructional content is essential. Prior involvement in nuclear or high-hazard operations, particularly with telerobotic systems, is required. The ideal candidate will have a background in both training delivery and engineering analysis related to remote handling equipment and constrained environments.
