Role Overview
As a Trainee Telematics & CCTV Installation Engineer, you will carry out essential fieldwork involving the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of telematics and surveillance systems. Your responsibilities will include resolving technical faults, performing firmware updates, and completing site surveys, all while adhering to strict safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete all required health and safety documentation prior to starting any repair or site visit.
- Ensure job completion forms are fully documented and signed off by an authorised customer representative before departure.
- Carry out assigned tasks efficiently, meeting deadlines with consistent attention to detail and workmanship quality.
- Diagnose and resolve customer-reported equipment issues, providing clear solutions and recommendations.
- Manage and maintain accurate records of van stock, ensuring all tools and company assets are accounted for and securely stored.
- Work independently with minimal daily oversight, using sound judgement to prioritise tasks effectively.
- Follow company policies and procedures rigorously, maintaining compliance across all operations.
- Communicate proactively with customers and internal teams to ensure timely resolution and follow-up, enhancing overall service experience.
- Build and sustain positive customer relationships, supporting long-term client retention and satisfaction.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share updates on ongoing issues related to customer systems and service delivery.

Compensation & Benefits
- Starting salary of £25,000–£30,000, with potential to grow up to £42,000 based on progression.

Work Schedule
Monday to Friday, 40-hour week with occasional overtime. One Saturday per month is required. This is an onsite role with regular travel to customer locations.
