Cargill is hiring a Trade Product Control Analyst

As a Trade Product Control Analyst, you will play a key role in maintaining financial integrity by monitoring and reconciling commodity and foreign exchange positions. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure timely reporting, validate trading profit and loss data, and uphold compliance standards across operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and reconcile position reports for commodities and foreign exchange, identifying and resolving discrepancies with relevant stakeholders.
  • Track financial exposures, verify reporting against established limits, and escalate breaches with supporting analysis.
  • Reconcile trading P&L by impact category and maintain accurate financial records in coordination with business partners.
  • Support internal controls and compliance frameworks by monitoring critical control points and operational processes.
  • Lead process optimization initiatives, including automation, standardization, and transformation projects to improve efficiency and accuracy.
  • Apply risk management principles to resolve moderate complexities independently and escalate complex issues appropriately.

Qualifications

A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience is required, along with at least two years in a financial operations or risk management role. Proficiency in advanced Excel functions is essential. Preferred candidates will demonstrate strong analytical capabilities, familiarity with financial risk frameworks, and experience using Power BI, Python, or similar data tools. Background in energy markets is a plus.

Compensation & Benefits

Base salary range: $69,000 – $90,000. Eligible for a discretionary incentive award tied to company and individual performance. Comprehensive benefits package available, including medical coverage and accrual of sick and safe leave in accordance with Minnesota law.
