About the Role
The Trade Compliance Analyst is responsible for ensuring compliance with export and import regulations, supporting internal audits, maintaining compliance documentation, and assisting with trade-related inquiries across global operations.
Responsibilities
- Review and verify export documentation for regulatory accuracy
- Assist in preparing for internal and external trade audits
- Maintain records in compliance with international trade laws
- Monitor changes in trade regulations and assess impact
- Support classification of goods under Harmonized System codes
- Collaborate with logistics teams on shipment documentation
- Identify compliance risks and recommend corrective actions
- Respond to inquiries related to import and export procedures
- Ensure proper licensing for controlled shipments
- Track regulatory updates from government agencies
- Conduct compliance training for internal stakeholders
- Audit data in trade systems for completeness and correctness
- Work with legal and supply chain teams on cross-border issues
- Maintain compliance with economic sanctions programs
- Prepare reports on trade compliance metrics
- Support due diligence for new international partners
- Verify end-use and end-user information for exports
- Assist in responding to government agency inquiries
- Ensure accurate data entry in customs and trade platforms
- Participate in process improvement initiatives
- Evaluate compliance impact of new product introductions
- Support classification of technology and software exports
- Document compliance procedures and updates
- Coordinate with third-party logistics providers on filings
- Monitor restricted party screening results
