Clipboard Health is hiring a Tooling Program Manager

About the Role

The ideal candidate will oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of tooling initiatives that support engineering productivity. This role requires strong cross-functional collaboration, program management expertise, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, distributed environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end delivery of internal tooling programs
  • Coordinate between engineering, product, and operations teams
  • Define project timelines, milestones, and success metrics
  • Track progress and communicate updates to stakeholders
  • Identify dependencies and resolve cross-team blockers
  • Ensure tooling solutions meet scalability requirements
  • Manage risks and implement mitigation strategies
  • Facilitate sprint planning and release coordination
  • Gather feedback to inform iterative improvements
  • Align tooling initiatives with organizational goals
  • Drive adoption of new tools across teams
  • Document processes and maintain program artifacts
  • Support change management for tooling rollouts
  • Evaluate tool performance post-implementation
  • Collaborate with technical leads on architecture input
  • Translate business needs into technical project plans
  • Optimize workflows through tooling enhancements
  • Maintain transparency with leadership on program status
  • Work with remote teams across multiple time zones
  • Promote best practices in program execution
  • Ensure compliance with internal standards
  • Integrate user experience considerations into tool design
  • Balance short-term needs with long-term strategy
  • Escalate critical issues with clear resolution paths
  • Foster a culture of accountability and delivery

Nice to Have

  • Master’s degree in a technical or management discipline
  • Certification in project management (e.g., PMP, Scrum Master)
  • Experience in scaling tooling at high-growth companies
  • Background in healthcare or regulated industries
  • Familiarity with security and compliance standards
  • Exposure to AI or machine learning tooling
  • Knowledge of data privacy frameworks
  • Leadership experience in cross-functional programs
