Responsibilities
- Create, implement, and manage automated test scripts for both web and mobile platforms.
- Work closely with design engineers and stakeholders to define thorough and organized test strategies, plans, and cases.
- Record test procedures, outcomes, and observations clearly and track identified defects through resolution.
- Write application and automation code using programming and scripting languages such as C#, C++, JavaScript, Python, HTML, and Node.js.
- Utilize testing frameworks and tools including Selenium, Xunit, Nunit, and WiX Toolset to build robust test solutions.
- Integrate version control, package management, and build tools like git, NuGet, and Grunt into development workflows.
- Apply database query skills with SQL to validate backend functionality during testing.
- Construct specialized test environments using commercial tools, custom hardware, and software components in collaboration with engineering teams.
- Partner with Product Owners, squad leads, developers, and QA peers to align on requirements and develop accurate test scripts.
- Evaluate test outcomes and work jointly with hardware, firmware, and software engineers to troubleshoot embedded systems and determine root causes.
- Maintain awareness of emerging test tools, methodologies, and industry best practices.
- Support debugging efforts by reproducing and analyzing issues reported from customer environments.
- Ensure automation frameworks support continuous integration and deployment pipelines using cloud platforms like Azure.
- Develop front-end test components using React and Mithril.js for interactive application layers.
- Document and communicate technical findings effectively across cross-functional teams.
