Responsibilities
- Produce, test, and maintain quality, consistent, contextualized, and technically accurate documentation for Tailscale's products.
- Develop how-to guides, conceptual topics, reference guides, tutorials, and other technical content.
- Understand when each content type is appropriate and apply it effectively.
- Write content for a diverse audience including software developers, infrastructure engineers, security practitioners, and decision-makers, adjusting tone and content accordingly.
- Update and refine existing content to reflect product changes and feedback from training sessions, surveys, and metrics.
- Collaborate with subject-matter experts, product managers, and team members to plan, organize, write, edit, review, and evolve documentation.
- Collaborate with other content creators to ensure alignment with organizational goals and strategies.
- Engage the user community through active participation in community spaces.
- Support engineers and subject-matter experts who contribute to documentation by providing guidance and content reviews.
- Contribute to information architecture and platform improvements to help customers find answers faster.
- Become an expert in Tailscale's features and products and understand customer needs and pain points.
