About the Role
This role involves diagnosing and solving technical challenges that arise with in-person payment solutions, supporting internal teams and external partners, and contributing to the reliability of payment systems.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues reported by merchants and partners
- Collaborate with engineering teams to escalate and track bugs
- Provide timely responses to support tickets within defined SLAs
- Document technical problems and solutions in internal knowledge base
- Assist with onboarding new merchants integrating in-person payments
- Analyze logs and transaction data to identify root causes
- Work closely with product teams to relay customer feedback
- Support certification processes for point-of-sale hardware
- Guide partners through integration troubleshooting
- Maintain up-to-date understanding of payment protocols and standards
- Participate in on-call rotations for urgent issues
- Contribute to automation of support processes
- Assist in testing new features before release
- Communicate technical details clearly to non-technical stakeholders
- Monitor system health and flag anomalies
- Follow security protocols when handling sensitive data
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations such as PCI DSS
- Coordinate with regional teams across time zones
- Improve support documentation based on recurring issues
- Train new team members on support procedures
