Lam Research is hiring a Technical Support Engineer

Lam Research is hiring a Technical Support Engineer for the Fab Integrated Technology Services (FITS) team within our Customer Support Business Group (CSBG). In this role, you will be responsible for the global delivery, deployment, and operation of IT and security technology for fab facilities. You will provide technical assistance to deploy and support Lam Advance Services products, acting as a key technical liaison between Lam stakeholders and customer IT teams.

What You'll Do

  • Provide technical assistance and guidance to deploy and support Lam Advance Services products infrastructure at customer Fabs or Lam regional offices.
  • Act as the technical liaison between Lam stakeholders and customer IT teams as needed.
  • Work cross-functionally with other Lam departments and interface with Lam customers at fab sites.

What We're Looking For

  • Experience with Linux, specifically CentOS and Ubuntu.
  • Understanding of fundamental DNS and networking technologies, concepts, and technical steps.
  • Understanding of PowerShell and basic scripting skills.
  • Experience working within a virtual environment.
  • Advanced knowledge of Windows OS.
  • Understanding of Antimalware/Antivirus software and operation.
  • Strong analytical, technical investigation, and troubleshooting skills.

Nice to Have

  • Experience working in a Fab environment or familiarity with the Semiconductor industry.
  • Some hands-on experience with Cisco switches.
  • Experience effectively administering systems with PowerShell.
  • Extensive experience working with Hyper-V.
  • Ability to troubleshoot CentOS and provide solutions.
  • Experience administering Antimalware/Antivirus systems.
