Anduril Industries is hiring a Technical Program Manager, Maritime

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with diverse engineering and technical specialists across the full lifecycle of autonomous underwater vehicles, including integration, testing, verification, and demonstrations.
  • Ensure programs meet technical specifications, timelines, and budgetary targets.
  • Drive technical performance by deeply understanding system behavior, managing incident resolution and post-event reviews, using data to identify improvement areas, measuring impact of investments, and clearly communicating system status to stakeholders.
  • Define project scope and oversee scope changes throughout project duration.
  • Identify, monitor, and mitigate project risks.
  • Create and manage detailed project schedules.
  • Support contract management tasks such as statements of work, change orders, financial tracking, terms and conditions, and data rights.
  • Oversee deliverables, including regular progress reporting and final handover to customers.
  • Independently interpret and execute on broad or unclear requirements from external clients.
  • Take full ownership of assigned workstreams and deliverables.
  • Build strong, collaborative relationships with engineering teams to enable technical success.
  • Engage with international clients and represent the technical capabilities of maritime systems.
  • Advocate for customer needs during follow-on business development activities.
  • Assist engineering teams during integration, testing, and debugging in fast-moving environments.
  • Lead formal test planning by developing test strategies, identifying required resources, and coordinating logistics.
  • Direct offshore autonomous underwater vehicle test operations, which may span several days or extend to multiple weeks.
  • Travel internationally 25% to 40% of the time to support customer interactions and field testing.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in systems engineering or a related discipline, with a strong interest in hardware development.
  • Minimum of seven years of experience in robotics, with a focus on technical project management or systems engineering, or equivalent experience in a relevant sector.
  • Ability to perform system testing, integration, and troubleshooting.
  • Proven experience guiding product development from Technology Readiness Level 3 to 8.
  • Familiarity with government contracting frameworks and reporting requirements.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
  • Superior communication abilities.
  • Current and maintainable U.S. Secret security clearance.

Nice to Have

  • Field experience operating robotic systems in offshore environments.
  • Background integrating subsea sensor technologies.
  • Knowledge of government acquisition procedures, reporting, and contract management.
  • Experience working directly with international customers.

On-site

Team

Multidisciplinary team including product, engineering, business development, logistics, and operations.

Other

  • Regular international travel required approximately 25%-40% of the time.
  • Must be able to maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.
  • Work involves leading offshore AUV test events, including multiple-day and occasional multiple-week deployments.
