Key Responsibilities
- Handle technical support cases through the Case Contact Management System, ensuring complete and accurate documentation prior to escalation.
- Assist field technicians and service leads in troubleshooting complex mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical system failures.
- Use remote diagnostic tools such as John Deere Service Advisor Remote to analyze equipment data and support timely repairs.
- Monitor real-time alerts from connected machines and guide service teams on appropriate corrective actions.
- Develop and maintain technical solutions within the internal Technical Assistance Centre database.
- Coordinate with OEM engineering teams to report and resolve emerging product performance issues.
- Stay current with evolving equipment systems, including engine architecture, schematics, and environmental impacts on performance.
- Analyze service reports and performance metrics to identify trends and recommend operational improvements.
Qualifications
Candidates must hold a recognized heavy-duty equipment technician certification or demonstrate equivalent industry experience. A minimum of five years in technical service for off-road, construction, forestry, or agricultural machinery is strongly recommended. Proficiency in diagnostic software, data analysis, and a solid understanding of machine systems are essential. Familiarity with remote monitoring platforms and a commitment to ongoing learning are key to success in this role.
