Role Overview
This position plays a central role in advancing a strategic greenhouse gas reduction initiative, with primary focus on electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure and the engineering coordination of the Infield Central Plant (ICP) sub-program. The Technical Coordinator ensures alignment across civil, electrical, structural, compliance, and sustainability disciplines, supporting timely and high-quality project outcomes through effective communication, documentation management, and technical oversight.
Key Responsibilities
- Orchestrate technical activities across engineering domains, ensuring deliverables meet project timelines and quality standards.
- Support the design and development of EV charging solutions, including charging pods, DC fast-charging hubs, light-duty fleet systems, and eGSE charging infrastructure.
- Coordinate the preparation and review of engineering documentation for the ICP and GHG sub-programs, including design basis reports, technical memoranda, and supporting studies.
- Act as a liaison between internal teams and external stakeholders, facilitating responses to technical inquiries, RFIs, and design review comments.
- Maintain and update project control systems, including deliverables registers, action item logs, and risk and issue trackers.
- Organize and document technical meetings, prepare status reports, and communicate progress to project leads.
- Ensure accuracy, version control, and proper archival of technical documents using SharePoint and Teams; support BIM and drawing review processes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, or a related engineering discipline.
- Minimum of five years of experience in technical coordination on complex infrastructure projects.
- Proven ability to manage concurrent tasks in a fast-moving environment with strong attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience engaging technical and non-technical audiences.
- Proficiency with MS Project, AutoCAD, SharePoint, Teams, and BIM platforms.
- Familiarity with sustainability goals, GHG reduction strategies, and relevant regulatory standards.
- Experience interpreting engineering drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
- Track record of successful collaboration with multidisciplinary teams and external partners.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with a commitment to quality and continuous improvement.
Preferred Background
- Electrical engineering expertise is highly valued.
- Professional licensure (P.Eng.) or project management certification (PMP) is considered an asset.
- Prior work in aviation or electrification projects is advantageous.
