Lead technical execution while staying deeply involved in the code. As Tech Lead, you'll be the engineering counterpart to the Head of Product & Engineering, reporting directly to the CTO. This is a technical leadership role without managerial overhead—your focus will be on building, designing, and elevating the platform through hands-on development.
What You’ll Do
- Write clean, scalable code across the full stack using TypeScript, React, and Node.js, with a strong emphasis on maintainability and performance
- Design and implement AI-powered features—like agent systems, automation workflows, and LLM pipelines—that are core to the product
- Integrate AI tools into daily development to improve planning, architecture, and code quality—not just for autocompletion
- Make thoughtful decisions about when to use prompt engineering versus model fine-tuning, and ensure reliable output from AI components
- Collaborate closely with product leadership to define technical roadmaps and translate business goals into feasible, well-architected solutions
- Own the evolution of the system architecture, making pragmatic choices about tools, services, and infrastructure
- Champion best practices in testing, documentation, and deployment, ensuring fast and stable release cycles
- Lead by example through code reviews, pair programming, and knowledge sharing
What We’re Looking For
- At least 7 years of professional software development experience, with time spent in senior, staff, or founding engineer roles
- Deep expertise in the TypeScript/Node.js/React ecosystem and full-stack development
- Proven experience with cloud platforms—AWS preferred, though GCP or Azure backgrounds are welcome if you’re ready to adapt
- Familiarity with infrastructure as code (Terraform or similar) and event-driven systems
- Active use of AI development tools such as Cursor, Copilot, or Claude Code in real-world workflows
- Hands-on experience building production-grade AI features—not just API wrappers—including RAG systems, agent logic, or automated reasoning pipelines
- Strong opinions on software design, balanced with pragmatism and delivery focus
Environment & Expectations
You’ll work in a builder-first culture that values speed, clarity, and technical integrity. The team ships to production daily, powered by fully automated CI/CD. You’ll help maintain that pace while raising the bar for quality and innovation. This is a remote role open to candidates in EMEA within the GMT±2 timezone.
While this is not a formal management role today, there’s a clear path to lead a growing team of engineers as the organization scales.
