Responsibilities
- Examine federal, state, and local tax filings for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to current tax laws and regulations
- Offer expert advice on technical tax matters to support team and client needs
- Identify potential tax savings and ensure clients utilize all qualifying deductions and credits
- Partner with engagement teams to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality tax services efficiently
- Investigate and interpret complex tax issues, including changes in legislation and their impact
- Help manage client expectations, project timelines, and deliverables for tax assignments
- Ensure all work follows internal policies, professional standards, and regulatory requirements
- Stay up to date on industry developments and changes in tax regulations affecting clients
- Contribute to initiatives improving tax review processes and operational workflows
- Track and maintain priorities, deliverables, and due dates for tax preparation activities
- Function effectively both independently and collaboratively within a team environment
Requirements
- Must hold a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license
- Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree is required
- Prior experience in tax preparation and accounting functions
- High level of attention to detail and strong organizational abilities
- Ability to communicate professionally with clients in writing and verbally
- Proficient in using computers and standard software applications
Nice to Have
- Experience in public accounting is preferred
- Familiarity with compiled and reviewed financial statements is advantageous
- Experience with Click Up, CCH/Engagement, and QuickBooks is highly desirable
Compensation
The total rewards package includes base salary, bonus, and benefits. Salary ranges are competitive within the accounting sector and adjusted based on experience, expertise, location, and internal equity.
