This role is responsible for managing end-to-end recruitment for a variety of positions across multiple sites, ensuring timely and effective hiring decisions. The specialist will serve as a strategic partner to hiring managers and HR, providing guidance throughout the recruitment journey and enhancing both candidate and client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the complete hiring process—from sourcing to offer—for diverse roles across functional areas and locations.
- Deliver a positive candidate experience through clear communication, timely follow-up, and professional engagement.
- Partner with department leads to understand hiring needs and advise on effective talent strategies.
- Develop talent pipelines using proactive sourcing methods, including outreach to passive candidates.
- Stay informed about labor market dynamics to adjust sourcing approaches as needed.
- Enhance role understanding through job shadowing, particularly in manufacturing settings, to improve candidate fit.
- Continuously assess and improve recruitment workflows to reduce time-to-hire and increase efficiency.
- Utilize an applicant tracking system to manage candidate data and generate performance reports for leadership review.
- Maintain accurate records in compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Travel up to 25% of the time, including occasional short-notice or overnight trips.
Qualifications
A bachelor’s degree and at least two years of relevant experience are required. Candidates must demonstrate strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in standard office software and applicant tracking systems is essential. The ideal candidate exercises sound judgment, handles sensitive information with discretion, and builds strong relationships using emotional intelligence.
- Experience in full-cycle recruitment across various job levels and functions is preferred.
- Familiarity with federal and state employment regulations, including those related to government contracting, is a plus.
- Proven success in meeting recruitment KPIs and managing compliance-related tasks is highly valued.
- Project management abilities and experience with Workday or similar ATS platforms are advantageous.
Work Environment
This is a hybrid position based in Smithfield, Virginia, with regular travel to other locations. The role demands self-direction during travel and adaptability to changing schedules.
