Responsibilities
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues on Linux servers.
- Develop, validate, and maintain software packages, scripts, and automation for operating system environments.
- Discover and implement performance improvements to minimize latency and boost system efficiency.
- Handle configuration changes and manage requests for infrastructure modifications.
- Collaborate with internal technology teams and external vendors to deliver effective technical solutions.
- Support the creation of scalable infrastructure strategies and future capacity requirements.
Requirements
- 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience in Linux and Unix system administration.
- Proven experience in tuning Linux kernel parameters.
- Solid knowledge of network protocols and architecture including IP, TCP, UDP, NFS, DHCP, TFTP, and NTP.
- Familiarity with automation and configuration tools such as Kickstart, Ansible, and Git.
- Proficient in writing scripts using Python.
- Experience configuring and managing BIOS settings.
- Demonstrated ability to think critically, solve complex problems, and plan strategically.
- Self-driven with excellent organizational and time management capabilities.
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Skilled at juggling multiple projects while supporting day-to-day operations across teams and vendors.
Nice to Have
- Experience with MySQL or PostgreSQL databases is advantageous.
- Familiarity with HT Condor, HTC clusters, Team City, Keycloak, or Atlassian tools is a bonus.
