Responsibilities
- Review and interpret system requirements and architectural models using IBM Rhapsody
- Generate test specifications derived from design and requirement documentation
- Build automated test cases with dSPACE AutomationDesk and run them via dSPACE ControlDesk
- Perform automated and manual test execution, including exploratory testing and basic system validation checks
- Assess test outcomes, log defects, and document issues using ALM platforms such as DOORS NextGen and EWM
- Grasp system behavior to establish test scope and ensure thorough test coverage
- Assist in configuring and maintaining test setups involving hardware and software simulations, including dSPACE HIL systems
- Install and set up ECUs, restbus simulations, measurement tools, and test benches
- Analyze and record test outputs, delivering technical proof such as signal traces, oscillograms, and logs
- Engage with AGILE development teams during sprint planning and review sessions
- Offer on-site testing assistance for customer-facing activities when necessary
- Sustain clear and consistent communication with external project stakeholders
Requirements
- University degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent discipline
- Four to eight years of professional experience in system integration testing for automotive embedded systems
- Solid grasp of electronic systems and embedded technologies
- Familiarity with IBM Rhapsody, HIL testing procedures, and system architecture analysis
- Proven experience with dSPACE AutomationDesk and ControlDesk tools
- Competence in using lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, and power supplies
- Background in system testing approaches and automotive microcontroller applications
- Proficiency in programming or scripting languages including C, C++, or Python
- Experience working within AGILE frameworks and using ALM tools like DOORS NextGen and EWM
- Strong knowledge of automotive communication standards such as CAN, LIN, Ethernet, and FlexRay
- Self-driven attitude with a focus on improving testing processes and automation practices
- Fluent in spoken and written English
Nice to Have
- Holding an ISTQB certification is considered advantageous

- Maintain effective communication with external project teams
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field
- Minimum 4-8 years of experience as a System Integration Test Engineer in automotive embedded systems
- Good understanding of electronics and embedded systems
- Experience with IBM Rhapsody, HIL testing, system modeling, and architecture interpretation
- Hands-on experience with dSPACE AutomationDesk / ControlDesk
- Knowledge of lab instrumentation (oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies)
- Experience with system testing methodologies and automotive microcontrollers
- Programming or scripting skills: C / C++ / Python
- Experience with AGILE workflows and ALM tools (e.g., DOORS NextGen, EWM)
- Good understanding of automotive communication protocols (CAN, LIN, Ethernet, FlexRay)
- Proactive, solution-oriented mindset focused on continuous improvement in testing and automation
- Excellent command of both spoken and written English
Preferred
ISTQB certification is a plus
