Responsibilities
- Oversee the execution of green building certification programs such as LEED, SITES, and alignment with the City of Dallas Comprehensive Environmental and Climate Action Plan (CECAP).
- Create and manage sustainability strategies during construction, covering waste reduction, indoor air quality, and stormwater controls.
- Conduct routine field inspections to verify adherence to sustainability plans and regulatory requirements.
- Design and maintain operational tools including forms, templates, and workflows to support certification submissions and agency responses.
- Lead internal and client-facing coordination meetings related to green building certifications and prepare progress reports on sustainability performance.
- Engage in pre-construction planning to evaluate the practicality, cost, and timeline implications of achieving specific sustainability credits.
- Assist in shaping project budgets and change order processes with a focus on sustainability components.
- Monitor and report construction site emissions and water usage metrics.
- Oversee the submission, review, and finalization of documentation required by sustainability frameworks or contractual agreements.
- Ensure design documents and specifications align with applicable sustainability standards through review of drawings and subcontractor data.
- Attend subcontractor coordination, preconstruction, and submittal review meetings to integrate sustainability requirements.
