Responsibilities
- Operate surveying instruments such as total stations and GPS equipment
- Assist in establishing control points and boundary markers
- Collect and record field data accurately and efficiently
- Support licensed surveyors during site visits
- Maintain detailed field notes and logs
- Perform basic calculations for distance, elevation, and angles
- Assist in preparing survey sketches and diagrams
- Transport and set up field equipment at various job sites
- Follow safety protocols during field operations
- Communicate effectively with team members on site
- Assist in resolving discrepancies in property records
- Participate in construction layout activities
- Conduct field checks under supervision
- Ensure equipment is properly calibrated and stored
- Assist with data entry and documentation in office settings
- Work in diverse weather and terrain conditions
- Adhere to project schedules and deadlines
- Support as-built surveys for infrastructure projects
- Assist in topographic surveying efforts
- Maintain professionalism on client sites
Nice to Have
- Associate degree in surveying, civil technology, or related field
- Experience with AutoCAD or similar software
