Gilead Sciences, Inc. is hiring a Supply Chain Specialist IV

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate supply planning, material requirements planning, and inventory practices to maintain consistent production and product availability.
  • Initiate, oversee, and finalize production process orders.
  • Initiate, manage, and execute purchase requisitions and purchase orders using authorized procurement platforms.
  • Track supplier delivery commitments relative to forecasts and orders, identifying and mitigating potential delays or discrepancies.
  • Monitor inventory balances, manufacturing timelines, and material readiness to detect and resolve supply disruptions.
  • Act as the main point of contact for suppliers on order fulfillment, delivery outcomes, and problem resolution.
  • Work closely with Manufacturing, Quality, Warehouse, Finance, and other departments to sustain uninterrupted supply operations.
  • Assist in managing product lifecycle transitions such as launches, modifications, and phase-outs.
  • Ensure planning and procurement data accuracy in ERP and sourcing systems.
  • Collect and assess data on inventory, shipments, supplier performance, and demand patterns.
  • Produce and review supply chain records including purchase orders, process orders, material transfers, and shipping documents.
  • Ensure all tasks comply with company policies, internal controls, and current good manufacturing practices (cGMP).
  • Engage in continuous improvement projects to enhance forecast precision, inventory efficiency, and supplier reliability.
  • Assist with audits, inspections, and internal assessments as needed.

Compensation

$92,820.00 - $120,120.00

  • The base salary range for this role is $92,820.00 - $120,120.00. Actual pay depends on factors such as experience, qualifications, and location. The position may qualify for an annual discretionary bonus, stock-based long-term incentives (eligibility varies by role), paid time off, and a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, and life insurance.
